Admission to the Alfonso X el Sabio University will depend on the places offered and available in the degree, once the legal requirements for access to the University contemplated by current legislation are met.

The provisions of Royal Decree 534/2024, which regulates the requirements for access to official university degree courses, the basic characteristics of the entrance exam and the basic regulations of admission procedures, will be taken into account.

In accordance with the provisions of section 3 of article 15 of Royal Decree 822/2021, the UAX will reserve 5 percent of the places offered in the official university degrees for students who have recognized a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33 percent, as well as for students with permanent educational support needs associated with personal circumstances of disability, that in their previous studies they have required resources and support for their full educational inclusion, bearing in mind the provisions of the same regulations. Likewise, the availability of places for these students who attend the extraordinary calls for access to the university will be guaranteed, until reaching that 5 percent of the reserve quota on the total places offered in said title. In the case of not occupying the number of reserved places, the rest of the candidates who meet the criteria for access and admission of the degree may be enrolled.

The general characteristics of a student who wishes to pursue these studies would include, among others, an interest in the business world and how the integration of new technologies can change the way the company operates and markets.

As these are subjects in constant evolution, an open mind to changing contents will also be essential. Regarding the specific characteristics, three should be highlighted: capacity for analysis and synthesis to draw conclusions from the work carried out, perceptual and spatial capacity and, of course, creative and innovative capacity in the face of the evolution of technological advances. Instrumental skills such as memory and retention or language proficiency are also important.

The impact of professional activity requires people with a high degree of responsibility, an ethical and social approach in their actions, as well as a clear interest in the scientific / technical compared to other motivations.

Language level: Given that the degree is taught in Spanish and English, in the admission process candidates must prove to be in possession of a B2 CEFR level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) of English

The UAX Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics prepares you to respond to the needs of leading companies such as EY, PWC Deloitte, IBM and Banco Santander. These companies need professionals specialised in data visualisation and engineering to make strategic decisions and meet their business objectives.
You will specialise in business intelligence and analytics through Agile methodologies, learn to handle advanced software for business analytics management and work on interdisciplinary projects with students from other faculties and companies such as Avanade, Ecoalf, Quirónsalud and Caixabank, among others.

ADMISSION TEST which consists of:

For the asynchronous assessment, you will be asked to provide us with, throughout your admission process, through the UAX admissions portal:

• 1 timed video answering two short questions (1' maximum length)
• Curriculum, where you have to give written answers to questions already prepared by the University (maximum length 300 words).

The aim of both tests is to have the opportunity to get to know you in more depth and with a more holistic vision, in order to identify in you those skills and competences that are key for your admission to the degree you are applying for; as well as for a subsequent personalised accompaniment throughout your studies at UAX.

Graduates of this degree obtain a complete training that allows them to perform a profession or trade related to the analysis and interpretation of data, as they will have the ability to adapt to any sector of economic activity such as consulting, telecommunications, banking, health, industry, information services and research, among others, because they acquire a solid interdisciplinary training that provides them with knowledge in matters relating to data analysis and the development of predictive models.

As the knowledge acquired allows them to identify patterns and trends, graduates of this degree will be able to work, among others, as: data analysis expert, data architect, Big Data specialist, data scientist, business analyst, AI expert, business intelligence expert, entrepreneur or researcher.

What will you be able to do after you finish your studies?

• Key account manager: Maintain the business vision, manage the company's information and key accounts, leading teams.
• Product Manager: Your mission is to coordinate all the teams involved in a Product from its conceptualisation to its launch.
• Data Analyst: Extract and process all types of data, analyse them and interpret the results to draw conclusions.
• Sales manager: To analyse the market and the competences in the sector. Create, increase and manage the client portfolio.

• Governing Council: the highest decision-making body in the academic sphere and responsible for the deployment of improvements in academic processes. • Faculty/Centre Board: body for monitoring the deployment of academic processes at faculty level. It is made up of the head of the faculty, the heads of studies of the degree programmes and the quality coordinator.
• Centre Management and Quality Committee: centre management body, made up of the Dean, Vice-Dean/s, the Centre Quality Coordinator, the coordinators of research, mobility, innovation, internships, internationalisation, and the Head of Quality of the Vice-Rector's Office for Studies and Quality. The main objective of these meetings is to monitor the development of the centre's strategic plan, as well as the needs of each of the areas and degrees.
• Degree Monitoring and Improvement Committee (SIM): responsible for ensuring academic quality and compliance with the commitments made in the programme report. It meets twice a year. Composition: Head of Studies, two lecturers, student representative, degree quality coordinator, VREC quality manager, other guests.

During the development of the process, an evaluation team of the Foundation for Knowledge Madrimasd will meet with different stakeholders of the degree.
