Higher Online Technician in Health Documentation and Administration

Dual training in virtual mode:

Based on the Organic Law 3/2022 from the academic year 24-25 different significant novelties are introduced in the Vocational Training system in Spain.

• Virtual DUAL Methodology: Those students who take a distance vocational training course will concentrate the internships in a single period of 500 hours in the second year. They will be able to access them after passing 30% of the professional modules and having a favourable report from the teaching staff.

In the VET in Health Documentation and Administration, you will complete your online preparation with compulsory on-site work experience as part of the Workplace Training module (FCT). During this period you will be able to apply all the knowledge you have learnt in a real work situation. In addition, you will develop professional skills and learn first-hand about the processes that govern the working environment in the sector.

Our students will have the opportunity to carry out internships in hospitals, clinics and top-level healthcare centres to gain professional experience and an applied knowledge of what they have learnt during their training.

You can access this Higher Level Training Cycle if:

• You are 18 years old or you turn 18 in the year in which the training course begins.
• You are over 16 years old and you are registered as a worker, you are a high-level sportsperson or you have an illness, physical difficulty or dependence that prevents you from attending the training cycle in person.

In addition, you must have at least one of the following academic qualifications:

• Baccalaureate (LOE or LOGSE).
• Specialist Technician or Higher Vocational Training Technician Degree.
• Intermediate Vocational Training Technician's Degree
• Training Cycle or Intermediate Degree
• University Degree
• COU or Pre-university Certificate
• Document that proves that you have passed the 2nd year of any modality of the experimental Baccalaureate.
• Certificate of successful completion of the entrance exams to higher level training cycles.

A Healthcare Documentation and Administration Technician is responsible for managing all medical information generated in hospitals, clinics and health centres. Their main duties include:

• Registering incoming patients and allocating available beds.
• Updating the computer system when patients are discharged.
• Managing and archiving healthcare documentation, ensuring its protection and availability.
• Coordinate the management of appointments and customer service.
