Carlos González Ludeña

Degree Professor

Doctor in Musicology and Master in Spanish and Latin American Music (UCM). He has carried out research stays at the Institut de Recherche en Musicologie, at the University of Salamanca and at the University of Nottingham. His main lines of research are Musical Theatre in Spain (17th-18th centuries) and Musical Theory and Treatises in the Modern Age. He was awarded the Prize of the Spanish Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize of the Complutense University of Madrid.

Graduate in education and professor of musical arts, Master in Latin American musicology, and in Hispanic music. Doctoral candidate in musicology. In 2013 he created the jazz-fusion group MECHA with which he participated in the festival "Sonamos Latinoamérica". PULSAR Award for the best jazz and fusion album, as a composer. He is currently part of the Spanish jazz scene and shares the stage with great musicians such as the drummer Naíma Acuña, the saxophonist César Filiú and the double bass player Mario Carrillo.

Iván González Rodríguez

Graduate in Musicology, Master's degree in Spanish and Latin American Music. He began his doctoral thesis "El concierto público en el Madrid de Fernando VII". Between 2020 and 2023 he was part of the ERC DIDONE research project (ICCMU-UCM), editing eighteenth-century opera seria scores. Currently, he combines his teaching work at the UAX with his work as an editor in the REPERTORIUM project (ICCMU). He is the author of the critical edition of the Concerto in D major for cello and orchestra by Francisco Brunetti, published by ICCMU.
