Quirónsalud Master's Degree in Emergencies and Emergencies for Graduates in Medicine

If you are a graduate in Medicine, with this degree you will be able to specialise as a hospital emergency doctor and have the chance to join Quirónsalud by obtaining funding for your master's degree through a scholarship. A blended master's degree designed to strengthen your skills and know how to respond in extreme situations.

With the Quirónsalud Master's Degree in Emergency Medicine for graduates in Medicine, you will be able to obtain expert training accredited by UAX, the leading private university in healthcare training, acquiring experience and skills in one of the hospital areas with the highest demand.

You will learn to be effective in assessing the situation, efficient in decision-making and agile in managing priorities.
You will be able to manage situations that require rapid, organised, systematic and rigorous care.
You will be able to select the necessary therapeutic resources and diagnostic technology with agility. You will learn to manage care resources with efficiency and quality criteria.
In addition to practical on-site workshops at Quirón headquarters, you will complete 8 months of rotations (800 practical hours): 4 months in an Emergency Department of a Quirónsalud hospital and 4 one-month rotations in specific areas.
You will have a tutor specialising in emergency medicine, who will supervise your training during the master's degree and supervise your Master's thesis.

What is our blended learning methodology like?

Teaching with 100% online classes and face-to-face practical classes.

Online classes: from the first day, you will have academic advisors who will guide your training and who will always be at your side so that you never feel alone in front of the screen. In addition, you will have at your disposal a study plan and a Virtual Campus with numerous tools such as documents, virtual classes or forums that will help you in your day-to-day work.
Flexible: you will be able to study wherever and whenever you want, with freedom of schedule and access to the Virtual Campus available 24/7. You will be able to watch your virtual classes live or recorded, and contact your teachers by various means and at any time of the day.
The practical training lasts 8 months (800 practical hours), divided into a 4-month rotation in an Emergency Department of a Quironsalud hospital, and 4 rotations of 1 month (in a specific area: Coronary Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Ultrasound, PROA, etc.). The preferred hospitals for these rotations are the Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz, Hospital Universitario Infanta Elena (Valdemoro), Hospital Universitario Rey Juan Carlos (Móstoles), Hospital Universitario General de Villalba. However, you can request to do your internship at any other hospital in the Quirónsalud national network if you need to.
Each student will be tutored by an assistant emergency doctor who will supervise their training during the master's degree and will direct the Master's Thesis.
Throughout the Master's course you will have the opportunity to find out about vacancies that arise in the Emergency Departments of Quirónsalud hospitals, and you will be able to apply for them on a preferential basis (subject to the company's assessment) and with the possibility of receiving a training grant.
Endorsed by the Alfonso X el Sabio University: you will be a student of a prestigious university with more than 25 years of experience.

Admission process and validations

You can access the Master's Degree in Emergency Medicine for Doctors by following the steps detailed below. Access to the Master's Degree in Medicine is open to Graduates in Medicine, with or without MIR specialisation.

You will need at least a B2 level in Spanish. To start the admission process you will need to provide the following documentation:

Copy of your ID card or passport.
Copy of the last studies completed associated with the above-mentioned degree.
Postgraduate application form.
