Biologist, Master in Bioinformatics and PhD in Molecular Biology, with experience in international centres such as the John Innes Centre, the University of Nottingham, CNIO, CIPF and EMBL-Heidelberg. He has contributed to the development of tools such as Babelomics, STRING and PTMcode. He currently heads the Bioinformatics Unit at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Fundación Jiménez Díaz and leads projects in genetics, genomics and precision medicine.
Biologist and PhD in Biochemistry, Biomedicine and Molecular Biology, with extensive experience in human genetics and molecular diagnosis of rare diseases, genetic disorders and hereditary cancer by massive sequencing. She combines her research work with teaching in genetics and nutritional genomics in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Miguel Servet Researcher. He holds leadership roles as Head of Bioinformatics at the Translational Genomics and Bioinformatics Unit (UCA-GTB) and Coordinator of the Bioinformatics Platform at CIBERINFEC. He studies areas such as bacterial genomics, metagenomics, software development and human genomics. He has developed innovative tools such as PATO and ResCap, fundamental for the study of antibiotic resistance.
PhD in Biology (cum laude), with extensive experience in proteomics and genetics. He has held roles as technical manager at the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas (CIB) and postdoctoral and senior researcher in the Genetics Service of the Ramón y Cajal Hospital. He has worked for the Centro de Investigaciones Biomédicas en Red de Enfermedades Raras (CIBERER) and has obtained positive accreditation from ANECA for university lecturer.
Graduate in Biotechnology and Master in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. He is working on his doctoral thesis at the Cardiovascular Proteomics Laboratory of the National Centre for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC), focusing on the development of innovative bioinformatics methodologies for the analysis of omics data, specifically in the fields of proteomics and metabolomics.
Biochemist with more than 15 years of experience in bioinformatics applied to research and diagnosis. He has worked in companies such as Integromics, Genometra and Igenomix, as well as in hospitals and research centres, developing tools, protocols and genomic analysis. His career spans from oncology and haematology to precision medicine and assisted reproduction.
Engineer and PhD in Chemistry, specialist in AI and Data Science, with more than 20 years of experience and a solid track record in international projects in Big Data, machine learning and quantum computing. He is co-founder of OncomIA, a biomedical company that applies advanced technology in the fight against cancer. He is currently Head of Studies in Mathematical Engineering and Physics at UAX, where he teaches artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
Computer Engineer and MBA, specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. With a master's degree in AI & Data Science, she works in IT consulting, combining teaching and professional career.
PhD in Molecular Biosciences with experience in human genetics, clinical genomics and bioinformatics. Specialised in oncogenetics, liquid biopsy and molecular diagnostics, he has developed his career in hospitals and research centres of national and international reference. His interest is focused on the application of AI and computational tools to personalised medicine.

Yes, the master's degree is designed so that you can study it 100% online and adapt it to your pace and lifestyle. Classes are taught live through the UAX virtual campus, which you can access from any device. It is not compulsory to attend in real time, as all sessions are recorded and available for you to review at your convenience.
During the classes you can participate, work in teams in collaborative rooms, present your work and resolve doubts with the teaching staff, all online.
The only face-to-face part corresponds to the exams, which are held only twice a year - at the end of each term - and always on a weekend. In addition, UAX has a network of locations so that you can choose the one closest to you and easily reconcile it with your professional and personal life.
The evaluation of the master's degree combines continuous monitoring with a final test, ensuring a solid and practical training from day one.
Throughout each module you will carry out practical activities such as case analysis, solving exercises, periodic tests and assignments.
At the end of each subject you will also have to pass a theoretical exam.

Microsoft 365 and Google Hangouts facilitate the creation of documents and communication in tutorials or videoconferences.
For programming and data analysis, tools such as Visual Studio Code, RStudio, and SPSS are used. For the management of large volumes of information, access is given to cloud services such as Hadoop, AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. In addition, we work with Elasticsearch and Solr for the analysis of unstructured data, and with Copilot, ChatGPT and Gemini as Generative Artificial Intelligence tools.
