The Alfonso X el Sabio University and COFARES (the first pharmaceutical distributor to receive the Top Employers Spain 2021 certification), have joined forces to offer pharmacists, through this expert course, the possibility of developing their skills and abilities in orthopaedic techniques, which are essential when designing, manufacturing, adapting and dispensing orthopaedic medical devices.
This training meets one of the necessary criteria stipulated in Royal Decree 437/2002: minimum specialised training of more than 200 hours (20 ECTS credits), which allows pharmacists to be able to sell customised orthopaedic products.
At the same time, each Autonomous Community has its own criteria for the final awarding of the opening of an orthopaedic section in a pharmacy.
