El Máster en Medicina Deportiva de la Escuela Universitaria UAX Rafa Nadal es el programa más innovador y actualizado del mercado, diseñado para ofrecer una especialización interdisciplinar en el ámbito de la medicina, la traumatología y la cardiología en relación al deporte. Este programa único y 100% práctico, está destinado a formar a quienes liderarán la próxima generación de profesionales en medicina deportiva. Con una estructura que integra la teoría más avanzada con la práctica en escenarios reales, nuestro máster prepara a sus estudiantes para afrontar los desafíos que plantea la medicina deportiva.

The Master’s in Sports Medicine is designed to train the leaders who will shape the future of medicine applied to sporting performance. Our approach combines cutting-edge scientific knowledge with real-world practical experience, offering a comprehensive and up-to-date education. In a context where health, injury prevention and performance optimisation are essential, this programme provides the skills needed to tackle the sector’s most complex and emerging challenges.
Through collaboration with leading experts and the support of prestigious institutions, we guarantee an education that goes beyond the classroom. Students learn directly from practising professionals, apply their knowledge in real-world contexts and develop skills that enable them to stand out in a highly competitive and constantly evolving workplace.
The theoretical component is delivered online, offering the flexibility needed to balance the master’s programme with professional commitments. The practical component takes place over five on-campus weekends at the Villanueva de la Cañada campus, spread throughout the academic year.
The Master’s programme is organised into three independent specialisation modules, allowing students to explore in depth the main clinical areas linked to sports medicine:

The programme is endorsed and developed in collaboration with leading organisations such as Quirónsalud, SETRADE and the Rafa Nadal Academy, ensuring academic excellence, scientific rigour and direct contact with the professional world.
The teaching staff comprises doctors and specialists who are recognised in their respective fields, all of whom are practising professionals. This ensures that the training is up-to-date, practical and closely linked to daily clinical practice.
The master’s programme offers the opportunity to undertake optional work placements at some of the sector’s most prominent companies and sports centres. These placements take place once the theoretical part of the programme has been completed, enabling students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.
The Master is aimed at doctors and residents of all medical specialties, especially doctors and residents in Traumatology, Cardiology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
This programme is designed for those who wish to be at the forefront of sports medicine, acquiring advanced knowledge and practical skills to meet the challenges of athlete healthcare in an increasingly demanding and competitive environment.

The classes in this programme combine online theoretical training, designed to offer you the necessary flexibility and allow you to advance your professional career while you specialise, with high-level face-to-face practical experience.
In addition, the programme includes 5 face-to-face weekends distributed throughout the course - Fridays from 15:00 to 20:00 h and Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 h and from 15:00 to 20:00 h - at the Villanueva de la Cañada campus. During these sessions, students have access to our Virtual Simulation Hospital and first-class facilities, designed to reproduce real clinical and sports environments and enhance hands-on learning.
As for the optional internships, they will be carried out face-to-face in reference clubs and clinics assigned to each expert.

The first edition of the Master's Degree in Sports Medicine of the UAX Rafa Nadal University School has 40 limited places.
To start the admission process you must provide the following documentation:

- Academic transcript of the previous qualifications that give access to the Master's Degree
- Letter of motivation
After evaluating the information provided, a personal interview will be conducted in Spanish and English.
