The academic load is demanding, as you are simultaneously studying two university degrees. However, the curricula for double degrees are designed to avoid redundancies and optimise time. The first year is usually the most intense in terms of adaptation. With good organisation and the academic support resources offered by universities, most students complete the programme on time. If you are motivated by both disciplines, the demand becomes a real competitive advantage.
The cut-off mark for the Double Degree in Business Administration and Law varies depending on the university and the academic year, but it is usually between 10 and 13 points out of 14. As it is a degree with high demand and limited places, the competition is high. We recommend that you consult the updated cut-off mark of the university you are considering applying to directly, as it can vary significantly between public and private centres. Some centres also consider aptitude tests or personal interviews.
Studying the Double Degree ADE + Law allows you to access professional profiles that neither a pure lawyer nor a pure business manager can occupy with the same solvency. A graduate with both degrees can manage business operations and resolve their legal framework without depending on third parties, which makes them especially valuable in negotiations, restructuring and international projects. Studying only Business Administration and Management or only Law is perfectly valid, but a double degree broadens the range of career opportunities and usually results in higher entry-level salaries.
Yes, with a Bachelor's Degree in Law you can access the Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, a compulsory requirement for practising as a lawyer in Spain. And with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, you can opt for an MBA or specialised master's degrees in finance, consultancy or business management. Having both degrees gives you a postgraduate flexibility that few other programmes offer, as you can focus your specialisation on the legal world, the business world or an intersection of the two.
The curriculum combines core subjects from both disciplines. On the ADE side, you will find subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Corporate Finance, Marketing and Strategic Management. On the Law side, you will study Civil Law, Commercial Law, Labour Law, Procedural Law, Tax Law and International Law. In addition, the double degree usually incorporates integrative subjects such as Business Law, Business Taxation or Corporate Law, which directly connect the two areas of knowledge.
The salary of a graduate in Business Administration and Law depends on the sector and the position, but in general terms it is above the Spanish university average. A junior profile in a law firm or consultancy can start at €24,000-30,000 gross per year, with rapid progression depending on performance. In investment banking or large multinational corporations, entry-level salaries can exceed €35,000. As experience is gained and managerial responsibilities are assumed, salary ceilings are considerably higher.
