vision

Vocational training with a university ethos

Studying at UAX FP means training in an academic environment linked to the university. It is a programme that combines technical specialisation, specialist lecturers and the opportunity to progress on to a university degree.

In the face-to-face programme, this link is also an integral part of your day-to-day life on campus. In both programmes, your course has a specific aim: to develop the skills needed to practise a profession.

Learn to do what your profession requires

The UAX FP methodology links knowledge with its professional application. You’ll work on scenarios relevant to your specialism, use industry tools and learn to tackle tasks with technical expertise and independence.

Real-world scenarios

Apply what you’re studying to situations related to your profession. Analyse problems, propose solutions and understand the decisions required for each task.

Professional tools

Familiarise yourself with the software and tools used in your specialism through the activities on the course. Learn what they are used for and how to incorporate them into your work.

Competency-based assessment

Demonstrate what you can do through practical activities and assignments. The assessment allows us to check how you apply your knowledge and which skills you need to strengthen.

Simulated environments

Practise procedures and tackle professional situations in simulation activities tailored to your course, with guidance from teaching staff.

From learning to workplace experience

Work-based Learning (WBL) enables you to gain an insight into the day-to-day workings of your sector: getting to know teams, taking part in processes and applying what you have learnt in a professional setting.

Check the information for your course to find out about the partner organisations and the conditions for this stage. Its organisation, duration and requirements depend on the qualification and the curriculum.

Prepare for work and keep your options open

After completing your vocational training, you can choose to enter the workforce or continue your studies at university. If you’re interested in studying for a bachelor’s degree, the admissions team can advise you on options relevant to your course and the credit recognition applicable to your situation.
